The Knox Community Health Service has a 10 dental chair clinic which delivers oral health care to a broad range of community members who live in the Knox Municipality. As part of our committment to sustaining quality services the Knox Community Health Service Dental Clinic is also hosts final year dental students from Melbourne University as part of their final accreditation to become fully qualified dentists.
The Dental Clinic provides a range of services which includes:
The Pre-School Dental Program is available to any child in aged 0-5 within the Knox Municipality.
The School Dental Program is available to any child in primary school within the Knox Municipality.
The Youth Dental Program is available to all seconday school aged adolescents who are on a health care card and lives in the Knox Municipality
The Community Dental Program is available to any community member over the age of 18 who is on a health care card and lives in the Knox Municipality.
For many of the Community Dental treatments, patients will need to be triaged (a process to determine the urgency for teatment) and they will then be advised of the availability of service.
This is a very high demand service and waiting lists do apply for most services.
