Lesley-Anne Sleep - President

Commenced: 1997

Lesley-Anne has 40 years commercial accounting experience including 8 years teaching at Monash University. Her qualifications include a Bachelor of Business (accounting) and an MBA (Monash). She is a CPA, a registered tax agent and a Fellow of the Taxation Institute of Australia.

Lesley-Anne became interested in adolescent health issues when teaching at Monash and is passionate about the rights and life choices available to those living with disabilities. She remains excited and challenged to be part of the continual development and growth of full health services for Knox communities. Married with 4 children, Lesley-Anne’s spare time is invested in her family and her church commitments.

Peter Hill - Vice President

Commenced: 2007

Peter is a Computer Consultant who specialises in infrastructure development and support. He is married with two daughters and commenced with the Board of Management in 2007. Peter has been involved in community activities through Knox Little Athletics and his local church. He is passionate about contributing to the continued growth and quality of services provided by KCHS.

Gautam Gupta - Board Member

Commenced: 2007

Gautam has served as Treasurer since he joined the Board in 2007. He is passionate about access and equity and has over a decade of experience in Healthcare delivery and representation, including teaching at Swinburne University. He is currently the Managing Director of Symphony Hearing, a hearing healthcare clinic located on the Deaf Children Australia Campus on St Kilda Rd. Gautam is a Founding member of the Federation of Indian Students of Australia and continues to devote his time to improve integration of CALD communities. He remains committed to be part of the continual development and growth of full health services for the Knox community. His qualifications are: BSLH, GDIT, ACHSE, MAICD

Lesley Richardson - Vice President

Commenced: 2009

Lesley is a physiotherapist with over 20 years experience in vocational rehabilitation for people with a disability or injury with CRS Australia. She is passionate about a holistic approach to wellness with a special interest in chronic pain and work as a key to wellness. She believes the client should always be the key focus of any service provision with continuous improvement of service quality seen as critical to ensure high levels of client and stakeholder satisfaction.

Lesley has a BSc. (Physiotherapy) from the University of the Witwatersrand and has completed Certificates in Hydrotherapy, Applied Ergonomics and Workplace Assessment. She has also undertaken a number of leadership and community roles.

Cameron Moroney - Treasurer

Commenced: 2008

Cameron Moroney has held senior executive leadership positions at COO / CFO / CIO level across multi-site complex service businesses in various industries including higher education, health care, telecommunications and industrial businesses. Executive responsibilities have encompassed strategy / business planning, market / business development, customer service delivery and support, financial and performance management, facilities management, information systems, supply / major contract negotiation, insurance and risk management.

Working in the not for profit health care sector over recent years has created a personal interest in contributing to improving primary and community-focused health care.

Rob Verity - Board Member

Re-commenced: 2008

Rob commenced a private and industrial fence installation enterprise in 1970 which eventually grew into a highly successful activity specialising in the construction of road noise attenuation walls. The business expanded both in size and quality which eventually enjoyed the position of preferred tender with road construction groups.

After an accident in 1996 resulting in permanent and complete paraplegia Rob’s life took a new direction. With immense life experiences, Rob felt he could still make a worthwhile contribution to the community by joining and actively supporting various local groups including Knox Community Health Service, the Rotary Club, Knox Life Educational Committee and a member of the Knox School Council.

Rob has been an active member of the Board since 2000 with a 9 month break in 2007-8. He has served two years as Secretary and five years as Vice-President whilst serving on the Finance and Audit Sub-Committee.

Appointment to the Board of Knox Community Health Service Ltd

Applications are sought from suitably qualified and experienced people for appointment as Directors on the Board of Knox Community Health Service Ltd.

Those interested in appointment must have a commitment to excellence in public health and skills and expertise to make a significant contribution to the governance of a complex community-based health care organisation. In particular we are seeking applications from people with the following skills or experience:
  • General practitioner
  • Mental health professional
  • Dental professional
  • Other allied health practitioners

    Appointment will be for a period of up to three years. The successful applicants will be subject to probity and police records checks. Directors will be required to attend monthly board meetings and be an active member of a committee. Professional development is also available.
